WO 2006/106624 A1 (10/12/2006) Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co. Ltd Fujiyasu S, Katsuyama K, Hoshino T, Miwa M, Shimamura H. COMPOSITE OXIDE PARTICLE HAVING BLACK COLOR Composite oxide particles which have conductivity and a black colour, contain copper, nickel or molybdenum and have a cobalt content of 40-65 mass% in terms of the amount of the metallic element based on the whole particles. The particles are preferably produced by neutralizing and mixing an aqueous metal salt mixture solution containing at least cobalt.

WO 2006/106623 A1 (10/12/2006) Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co. Ltd Katsuyama K, Nakashima T, Shimamura H. BLACK DOUBLE OXIDE PARTICLES, PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF, BLACK PASTES, AND BLACK MATRIXES Black double oxide particles, suitable for coating material, ink, toner, rubbers etc contain 35-70 wt% of cobalt and 5-40 wt% of manganese at a Co/Mn mole ratio of 0.5 to 14 and a primary particle mean diameter of 0.05 to 0.3?m and an octahedral shape. The particles can be produced by wet oxidation and are free from all metal elements except cobalt and manganese.

"WO 2004/106230 A1 (12/09/04) JFE Mineral Company, Ltd" "Suginobe, H." METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE OXIDE OF METAL "A method for producing a composite oxide by subjecting a Group 13, Group 4 to 7 metal, cobalt or nickel oxide, and an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt to co-pulverization until the particle diameter of the oxide reaches 10 ?m or less in terms of a median value, and then heating the co-pulverized product to a temperature of 200°C or higher to effect a solid phase reaction."
