WO 2006/095840 A1 (09/14/2006) Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. Asazawa K, Yamada K, Tanaka H. FUEL CELL A fuel cell contains an electrolyte layer composed of an anion-exchange membrane, and a fuel-side electrode and an oxygen-side electrode arranged opposite to each other with the electrolyte layer between them. The fuel-side electrode contains cobalt as a metal catalyst. A compound containing at least hydrogen and nitrogen such as hydrazine is used as the fuel.

WO 2006/090207 A2 (08/31/2006) More Energy Ltd. Meiklyar V, Finkelshtain G, Katsman Y. ANODE FOR LIQUID FUEL CELL An anode suitable for use in a liquid fuel cell consists of 0.5-40.0 wt% metallic cobalt supported on a finely divided electrically conductive carrier eg carbon, and an oxidation catalyst. The anode may also contain up to about 40 % by weight of at least one additional metal. The oxidation catalyst is made by the addition of about a 3-fold stoichiometric excess of a reducing agent to an aqueous solution of a cobalt(II) compound in the presence of the carbon.
